Why one score instead of five separate tools

How the score is calculated
The DIY-vs-Attorney portion weighs five factors: dollar amount at stake, complexity of the legal issue, whether the other side has counsel, the strength of your documentary evidence, and how close you are to your filing deadline. Each factor is scored 0–20 and summed into a 0–100 Case Clarity Score, then mapped to one of three verdicts: Handle It Yourself, Consult First, or Hire Now.
